Your Nowlark form on any page, as a block or a shortcode. Each message alerts the people on your team who answer, on their phones.

== Description ==

When a customer writes through your website, the people you pick get an alert on their iPhone or iPad. The first to tap Take it answers, and everyone else sees who did, so two people never reply and nobody assumes someone else did.

This plugin puts the form you made in Nowlark on your WordPress pages:

* A Nowlark form block, with a live preview in the editor
* On the page, or as a button that opens the form over the page, or a button to the form's own page
* A shortcode, [nowlark_form], for the classic editor, widgets and page builders
* One form for the whole site in Settings, Nowlark Forms, or a different form in each block

You make the form, choose its questions and who it alerts in Nowlark, at https://nowlark.com. A Nowlark team is free for 14 days, with one form and no card; then Team, $19 a month for up to 5 people and 3 forms, or Team Plus, $49 a month for any number of people and forms. The people who answer use the free Nowlark app on an iPhone or iPad. Your visitors need nothing.

== External services ==

This plugin shows a form from Nowlark, a hosted service at https://nowlark.com run by Skail Consulting LLC. It is what the plugin is for: without a Nowlark form the plugin shows nothing.

The plugin itself, on your server, never contacts Nowlark. Your visitors' browsers do, on the pages that show a form:

* When the page opens: the browser loads the form's script and style sheet from https://nowlark.com/v1/forms/YOUR-FORM/embed.js and its form.css. Like any file a browser loads, the request carries the visitor's IP address and browser.
* When the form comes into sight, and as the visitor moves between its fields: a view count, tagged with a random number made for that one view that does not identify the visitor, the name of the field reached, and the campaign tags and referring site of the visit. No cookie is set, and nothing the visitor typed is sent.
* When the visitor sends the form: what they typed, the page address, the campaign tags and referring site of the visit. Nowlark delivers it to your team.
* A button to the form's own page opens https://nowlark.com/f/YOUR-FORM.

If your team turned on Google Analytics events for the form in Nowlark, the form also tells your site's own Google tag when it is seen, started and sent. Nowlark loads no Google script.

5. Last, let your site send the form (until then it shows but does not send). In Nowlark, open the form, enter the page's address under Put this form on your site and click Check my site. If your site is not allowed yet, click the button that adds it.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Do I need a Nowlark account? =

Yes. The form, its questions and who it alerts are set up in Nowlark. Start a team at https://nowlark.com/teams, free for 14 days.

= The block says it is not a Nowlark form link =

Copy the link from the form's page in Nowlark (it ends in /f/ and the form's name), or its one line of code. Either works.

= The form shows, but sending says it is not allowed =

Your form sends only from the sites on its list. In Nowlark, open the form, click Check my site with the page's address, and add your site.

= Can I use it without the block editor? =

Yes. Paste [nowlark_form] into the classic editor, a Shortcode block or a widget. [nowlark_form form="contact" mode="popup" button="Contact us"] shows a button that opens the form.

= What happens to a visitor without JavaScript? =

They see a link to the form's own page at Nowlark, where they can send it.

= What does the plugin remove when I delete it? =

Its one setting, the form saved in Settings, Nowlark Forms. Blocks left on pages show nothing.
